SAY Award 2018 – The Longlist

The longlist for the 2018 Scottish Album of the Year Award was announced last night at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut! in Glasgow. We’re pleased to see four Proper distributed releases included in the list, Blue Rose Code’s The Water of Leith, Karine Polwart and Pippa Murphy’s A Pocket of Wind Resistance, Elephant Sessions’ All We Have Now and Catriona McKay & Chris Stout’s Bare Knuckle.

The SAY Award is a prestigious and exciting arts prize produced by the Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA), with confirmed partners for 2018 including Renfrewshire Council,, Creative Scotland, Harviestoun Brewery, TicketWeb, PPL and Help Musicians Scotland (Charity Partner). Boasting a lucrative £20,000 prize for the winner and nine runner up prizes of £1,000 each, the award celebrates, promotes and rewards the most outstanding Scottish albums released each year.
