Congratulations to John Francis Flynn and Ye Vagabonds who both won two awards at last night’s RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards. John Francis Flynn took home the awards for Best Folk Singer and Best Emerging Artist whilst Ye Vagabonds won Best Folk Group and Best Traditional Folk Track for their cover of “I’m A Rover”.
Both artists are signed to River Lea Records, a division of Rough Trade Records, which releases beautiful and strange traditional music from Britain, Ireland and beyond.
