I have witnessed first hand Proper Music Group develop into a successful, large scale operation whilst retaining their independent spirit and personal touch. Their support for Reveal Records started way back in 1998 on the opening day of our retail store, with Proper going the extra mile by hand delivering product to us to ensure our opening was a success. Proper are a now a natural fit for the sales and distribution for my Reveal Records & Management Artists. It’s a company still run by people you can reach, music people.

The team at Proper do so much more than just shift bits of plastic. There is a very pro-active approach to handling your product from pointing up possible campaign deals to advising on marketing strategies. As a small niche label it is easy to get by-passed in the melee of all the labels, but we have never felt that with Proper. The feeling is of a co-operative, equal relationship as opposed to company and client.

I have dealt with Proper on various business levels since the end of 2008, and in more recent years with them acting as UK distributor for the majority of releases across the Membran group. From initial set-up of new titles, to sales, ordering and logistical/warehousing matters, with the occasional piece of label advice thrown in for good measure, I have never found them to be anything other than fully professional and friendly.
